Hey, I’m Conor and I’m currently 20 years old. Hometown is Invercargill in the deep south but I spend more time in Dunners (studying) and Queenstown (riding/working).& I got into riding through a combination of my dad and my neighbour who always encouraged me and helped me progress. I started out as a XC racer which eventually led to competing internationally but I had always jumped on the side and after a year of training I was over not having enough time to jump so I quit and started doing more jumping and DH.
I’m recognised mainly for being a dirt jumper with results such as 2nd NZ dirt jump open 2010 and 1st Farm Jam 2010 and 2011 but the type of riding I enjoy the best is freeriding. Freeriding gives you more room to be creative and do what you want, part of the enjoyment for me comes from seeing a feature in my head and going out and building it, and then of course riding it!
After NZ’s summer I’m travelling over to Canada to try my hand at the comp scene over there.
